College Professors & Department Heads: Join Our AI Tutoring Research Project
Partner with us in groundbreaking research studying how AI tutoring transforms student outcomes in higher education and high school classrooms.
Published January 13, 2026
We're excited to announce the launch of our SOCRAT AI Tutoring Research Pilot Program—a groundbreaking opportunity for educational institutions to partner with us in studying the impact of AI-enhanced learning on student success in career and technical education.
Why This Research Matters
The education landscape is at a critical inflection point. While AI tutoring shows tremendous promise, we need rigorous research to understand exactly how, when, and for whom these tools work best. Traditional tutoring can't scale to meet every student's needs—but can AI fill the gap while maintaining or even improving outcomes?
That's what we're here to find out. Together.
Five Key Research Questions We're Exploring
- Early Intervention: Can AI tutoring close the gap between when students struggle and when they drop out?
- Multilingual Impact: Does native-language support improve international student retention and success?
- Equity Gaps: How does adaptive reading level adjustment impact achievement equity across diverse student populations?
- Predictive Analytics: Can continuous mastery tracking predict at-risk students earlier than traditional early alert systems?
- Employer Outcomes: Do verified skills inventories improve graduate employment rates and starting salaries?
What Makes SOCRAT Different
Our SOCRAT AI tutoring system isn't just another chatbot. It's built on proven Socratic questioning methodology and powered by Content Intelligence that maps your curriculum's knowledge structure. Here's what sets it apart:
- True Socratic Method: Instead of giving answers, SOCRAT asks strategic questions that guide students to discover solutions themselves—building deeper comprehension and critical thinking.
- Multilingual Support with Cultural Localization: Not just translation, but culturally appropriate guidance that meets students where they are.
- Adaptive Learning: Automatically adjusts to each student's reading level while maintaining academic rigor.
- Continuous Mastery Tracking: Real-time competency assessment identifies struggling students before traditional measures would.
- Hours to Deploy: Integrates with Canvas, Moodle, D2L, Blackboard via LTI standard—no IT infrastructure changes needed.

The Bigger Picture: Why Education Needs This Research
AI in education isn't coming—it's here. But we're still in the early days of understanding how to deploy it responsibly and effectively. Institutions face tough questions:
- Will AI tutoring actually improve student outcomes, or just create tech debt?
- How do we ensure AI tools promote equity rather than exacerbate existing gaps?
- What's the right balance between AI support and human instruction?
- How do we measure and validate AI-driven learning claims?
These are questions we can only answer together, with real data from real classrooms. That's why this research matters—and why we need your partnership.
